Mitosis is the division of a cell where the daughter cell is identical to the parent cell. This occurs in all cells except the sex cells.
Meiosis is the separation of sex cells. Unlike Mitosis, Meiosis cells divide twice, creating half as many chromosomes as the parent cell.
